Jarrah Prefinished Flooring - Jarrah Eucalyptus Marginata
A large hardwood of the south west corner of Western Australia, in the 650 to 1250mm rainfall area and om lateritic soils. Heartwood dark red, Sapwood pale yellow.
Texture relatively couarse but even, grain slightly inrerlocked, sometimes producing a fiddleback figure.
Heartwood durable (class 2) very difficult to imprenate with preservatives.
Gum veins appear naturally in Australian Jarrah it represents the history of the growth of the tree with forest fires, droughts and flooding rains that occur quite regularly in the Australian Outback.
It is a characteristic of this beautiful Australian flooring.
Jarrah (eucalyptus Marginata)
Jarrah has a heartwood that is dark red, although regrowth is pinkish red, with sapwood a pale yellow.The texture is relatively coarse but even, and the grain is slightly interlocked, sometimes producing a fiddleback figure.
